It's very difficult to detect and measure how engaged a participant is in a training scenario of any type. Yet the effectiveness of the training depends on the participant being fully engaged. With the accelerating adoption of VR and AR headsets, it has become even harder...some say impossible...to tell if a participant is distracted and not paying attention adding yet another barrier to more rapid adoption of VR/AR solutions. Join us to hear how the team behind the I/ITSEC 2021 Best Paper Winner – Eduworks Corporation, Air Force Research Laboratory and University of Southern California Institute for Creative Technologies – teamed together to develop a machine learning solution starting with the Pilot Training Transformation (PTT) environment. We'll discuss how they worked together, the initial results, what they learned, and what they are doing to continue developing a deploying solution.
