STCF 2021 Recap
The Simulation Training and Community Forum (STCF) was held in Fairborn, Ohio on 11 August. The event was hosted jointly by National Training and Simulation Association (NTSA) and the Simulators Division of the Agile Combat Support Directorate (ACS), United States Air Force. Industry was provided with updates from 19th Air Force, the new Chief of the Modeling and Simulation Office, and HAF A3T. Additionally, STCF held a very in depth and information panel with representative from most of the Major Commands within the Air Force. Col Lea Kirkwood, Program Executive Officer (PEO) of ACS, also gave an overview of the portfolio. Col Kurian followed the PEO with a Simulators Division update, which included information from the five Materiel Leaders within the Division. The Logistics Branch provided attendees a great overview and understanding of the new Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR) process which will affect all contracts and programs in some manner. The Innovation Cell of the Simulators Division closed out the day with a preview of the upcoming Air Force Match Game which will take place at I/ITSEC 2021. STCF was attended by a record number of both industry and government attendees. Survey responses are due by August 25 and the presentations can be found on the STCF website.
